WHY THIS RUN MATTERS
THIS ISN'T JUST A RUN. IT'S A SCHOLARSHIP IN MOTION.
Florida is running out of skilled trade workers. Over 40% of the state's tradespeople are nearing retirement, and for every five who leave, only one new worker steps in. The state could need nearly two million construction workers over the next decade.
The GRO Turkey Trot 5K exists to close that gap — one scholarship at a time. 100% of race proceeds go directly to funding tuition, tools, and certifications for Florida students entering HVAC, welding, plumbing, and electrical trade programs.
Last year's Turkey Trot was our biggest yet — and every runner, walker, volunteer, and sponsor helped put real students into real trade programs. This year, we're going even bigger.

Run for a Scholar
Every registration fee, every sponsorship dollar, and every donation goes directly into the GRO Gaining scholarship fund. Your miles become someone's tuition.

Students Enter the Trades
GRO scholars use these funds to enroll in HVAC, welding, plumbing, and electrical programs across Florida — debt-free. 94% are employed within 90 days of graduating.
