WE'RE REMOVING EVERY FINANCIAL BARRIER BETWEEN YOU AND A TRADE CAREER
GRO Gaining (Gaining Resources for Outreach) is a Florida 501(c)(3) nonprofit on a mission to close the skilled trades gap — one scholarship at a time. In collaboration with NextGen Inspections and Valencia Technical College, we're awarding $60,000 in scholarships to 20 students this cycle.
These scholarships cover everything — tuition, tools, certifications, and program fees — so you can focus on learning your trade, not worrying about how to pay for it. Whether you're interested in HVAC, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, construction management, or facilities maintenance, this scholarship is designed for you.
We specifically recruit, train, and support students who have historically faced obstacles in accessing skilled trades education — including women, people of color, opportunity youth (ages 16–24), individuals in rural areas, and those participating in second chance programs.

Welcome to Moneyville
Where Finance Meets Fun
What good is a great career if you don't know how to manage the money you make? GRO Gaining's Moneyville Financial Literacy Course is a free, interactive program that teaches students the financial skills they need to build wealth — not just earn a paycheck.
Join our adventurous guide Alex on a journey through the whimsical world of Moneyville, where credit scores become friendly dragons, down payments are golden keys, and investing is like planting a garden. Guided by colorful characters like Willard the Credit Wizard, Sandy the Squirrel, Dana the Circus Diver, and Leo the Lion, students learn real financial skills through storytelling, not textbooks.
The course is completely free and open to all GRO scholarship applicants and program participants. We're expanding Moneyville with new chapters throughout the year — this is just the beginning.
